The 5th anniversary of the establishment of the club and Iranian Ground Jay campaign

The 5th anniversary of the club’s foundation with the focus on Iranian Ground Jay was held with more than 200 attendants in Shafaq Cultural Center, on December 26th.
The ceremony started at 4 PM and after Mrs. Arab’s welcoming notes, Mr. Pour Hosseini, the consultant of Ecotourism National Committee, started his speech about the history of birding activities and then explained the statement of the first national day of birding.
After the first speech, a teaser of IBC member’s photos was displayed.
The next speaker was Mr. Khaleqizadeh, the secretary of Iran Bird Records Committee, who outlined the scientific activities and researches related to Iranian Ground Jay.
Mr. Arash Nooraghayee, the publisher of Gilgamesh Magazine talked about the content creation on the subject of the nature. He then explained the efforts in the Cheetah Project and its impact on the awareness of the people about this species. He believed the storytelling was a great method in content creation.
Next was displayed a teaser on the club’s activities in the past year.
The next speaker was Mr. Parham Dibaj, an environmentalist and documentary producer, who had produced a documentary about the Iranian Ground Jay.
Mr. Hamed Moosavi described the club’s previous and future activities and introduced the Iranian Ground Jay Campaign and invited everyone to be an ambassador of this endemic species of Iran.
Mr. Babak Musavi talked about his new book on wildlife of Iran. Then, Mr. Hushang Ziaee, Arash Habibi Azad, Abolqasem Khaleqizadeh, Sasan Nejadi, Kaveh Farzaneh and Purang Pour Hosseini were invited to launch Mr. Musavi’s book.
At the end of the program, a number of active members of the club were honored.
