With a Focus on Protection of Valuable Great Bustard Species

This year, fourth anniversary of the club's foundation focused on the protection of valuable and endangered species of “Great Bustard”. This meeting was cooperated with numbers of birdwatchers and environmentalist.

It started at 6 pm with National Anthem of our beloved country.

Showing some photos of Iran birds that taken by members, was the beginning of the program. It illustrated the last year member activity.

Mr. Bakhtiari, the author of the bird’s book and Birdwatching teacher, was the first speaker. He expressing satisfaction with the club's activities, pointed to the important issue of increasing the share of birdwatching in tourism income generation.

Mr. Talebloo, The next speaker, a member of the board of directors of the club, referred to the club's commitment to protecting the environment, he described the species of Great Bustard in Iran as an urgent need for species and described the current situation as valuable.

Mr. Shadlou, the director of the Arasbaran Institute, referred to the efforts made to improve the birding field and the training of the specialized guidance and announced the issuance of a card for birder guides.

Mr. Karimzadeh, director of the club, invited the public to enjoy the attractive birdwatching field and then described the activities of the club last year.

Dr. Naderi, a researcher and professor in Arak University, outlined a video conference, conducted studies and activities on assessing the biological and protective status of the Great Bustard, and outlined scientific and practical solutions for endangered bird rescue.

Then was displayed some parts of “Arouse-Boukan”, a documentary film that directed by Mr. Asgari.

He explained the corners of the documentary and problems of film producing .The audience encouraged and commended the director and the agents of making this documentary.

At the end of the program, a number of active members of the club were honored.
